Her Appointment

In addition to be the youngest woman in the House of Delegates, her appointment made Maryland third in the nation for the number of women in the legislature.  Since that time, Maryland has become first in the nation.

In her first three years in office, Jeannie has gained many leadership positions in the House of Delegates including Assistant Minority Whip, Co-Chair of the Legislative Policy Committee for the Women's Caucus and Treasurer of the Eastern Shore Delegation.   She is also the Chair of the Talbot County Delegation.
